Rake up all debris! It is Spring time, and time to get out your leaf blowers and garden rakes! Any gumballs, acorns, and leaves from Fall need to be removed now. If your lawn was not cut short on your last mowing of the Fall you can mow it now.

Your lawn is beginging to wake up now and majority of the time has a thatch problem. For the best chance for your lawn to succeed this Spring is to remove excess thatch in your lawn. Thatch is a layer of dead that is between the soil and roots.

After you take the correct steps to a healthy lush lawn you must put down pre emergent. Organic pre emergent will control all broad leaf weed seeds from germinating. This is crucial to control invasive weeds! We do advise to application of pre emergent in a 5-6 week period.

During this period pay attention to how the lawn is acting. Lawn irrigation may not be needed during the rainy Spring weather. Please note that watering for 40 minutes per 1000 square feet once to twice a week is ideal. Watering deeply and infrequently allows you grass roots to grow deep!
